We host events related to environmentalism and ecology, regenerative and restoration practice, socio-economic and cultural initiatives, health holistic retreats, and many others.
At our workshops, besides theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field together with our consultants and field team, you can learn the principles of a regenerative approach, and gain precious insights for your own future work and projects.
We organize planting-events which are true moments of sharing and celebration with the community, that are felt as one of the best parts of our own work experience. The included lunches at these events serve to joyfully bring together body and soul.

We offer a unique volunteering experience at our project in this beautiful landscape (one month minimum). Besides the practical work in the field and in the wild, you will be able to pick up a lot about the ins and outs of regenerative practice as part of our field team, get involved in the socio-cultural work with the local community and take part in any events happening during your stay. We have seven-hour work days, including lunch and smaller breaks.
We offer on-site shared housing in a mobile home. We all have lunch together at our base during workdays, while for breakfast and dinner generally everybody fends for themselves.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us via info@idanha-a-vida.pt -
We are looking for an Agroforestry Systems Technician to join our team. This role is essential to support the process of ecological regeneration and to take part in a project that values both ecology and community.
In your day-to-day work, you will be involved in the production and care of plants in the nursery: sowing, planting, and ensuring both diversity and quality. You will also be responsible for preparing substrates, compost, and green manures, as well as supporting the creation and maintenance of agroforestry systems, contributing to plantation planning and species selection. The work also includes soil preparation and active participation in different stages of planting.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for working with the land, with knowledge of agroforestry and nurseries, and curiosity to apply the principles of permaculture and agroecology. We value a practical and creative spirit, capable of turning ideas into action, as well as the willingness to collaborate with both the team and the community.
The workload is 30 hours per week (to be agreed). More than formal experience, we are looking for motivation, dedication, and a desire to grow with us.
If you believe you can contribute to regenerating this land and be part of this transformation, apply now by sending your details, cover letter, and CV to us via email at info@idanha-a-vida.pt
